Griffon Spirit's final audition of the 2025-2026 season is September 6, 2025. This audition is open to current full-time students at MWSU, with a GPA of at least 2.0 and in good academic/disciplinary standing.
After submitting the Audition Application linked above, audition candidates will be contacted by Griffon Spirit with further instructions. Some material will be sent ahead of time to the email
provided in the application.
Candidates can expect to learn and demonstrate the following...
CHEER:
● Cheer
● Fight Song
● Sideline Dance
● Jumps/Skills: Toe Touch, Hurdler, Herkie, Pike, any tumbling/stunting candidate wishes
to show
DANCE:
● Chant
● Fight Song
● Pom/Hip Hop Combo
● Technical Skills: R and L Pirouettes, Turns in Second, R and L Leaps, Calypso, Leap in
Center (Russian), Toe Touch, Hurdler, any other skills candidate wishing to show
(Turning Disc, Kip Up, Headspring, Leg Extension, etc.)
Don't have one of those skills, or is something newer to you? We encourage you to still audition!
Our top priority is signing student-athletes who are coachable, committed, and ready to work
towards their highest potential.
The online Audition Application opens August 1, 2025 and closes September 1, 2025.
