Griffon Spirit's first audition of the 2026-2027 season is April 24 - April 25, 2026. This audition is open to high school seniors and college students planning to attend MoWest full-time.
After submitting the Audition Application linked above, audition candidates will be contacted by Griffon Spirit with further instructions. Some material will be sent ahead of time to the email
provided in the application.
Candidates can expect to learn and demonstrate the following...
GRIFFON CHEER:
- Cheers
- Fight Song
- Sideline Dance
- Jumps/Skills: Toe Touch, Double Toe Touch, Hurdler, Herkie, Pike, and connected jump sequence of choice. (2-3 jumps)
- Any tumbling/stunting that is applicable
GRIFFON DANCE:
- Chants
- Fight Song
- Pom/Hip Hop/Jazz Combos
- Technical Skills: R and L Pirouettes, Turns in Second, R and L Leaps, Calypso, Leap in Center (Russian), Toe Touch, Hurdler, Turning Disc, Switch Leap of choice, and any other skills that are applicable (Kip Up, Headspring, Leg Extension, Aerial, etc.)
Don't have one of those skills, or is something newer to you? We encourage you to still audition!
