Biography

Outlook: Is a versatile player who can pitch or play in the infield...will give the Griffons depth at both positions...as the ability to pitch long relief of be a closer.

2014 season: Jones had a solid senior season finishing with a 7-3 record and a 3.88 ERA...pitched in 16 games with 10 starts...pitched three combined shutouts in 58 innings...gave up just 56 hits and 25 earned runs...tied for a team high 50 strikeouts and allowed batters to hit just .253 against him...pitched a season high seven innings against Central Oklahoma were he gave up just six hits with eight strikeouts...he gave up just one hit in 5.2 innings against Pittsburg State and two hits with eight strikeouts against Fort Hays State in 5.2 innings of work...honorable mention All-MIAA.

2013 season: Made six appearances with four starts...went 1-0 and had a 12.33 ERA...had 14 strikeouts and gave up 32 hits in 15 innings pitched.

2012 season: Made 18 appearances with a 1-2 record...had 4.37 ERA giving up 11 earned runs...had one combined shutout and six saves in 22.2 innings of work.

2011 season: Made nine appearances in relief. Pitched 17.1 innings; finished 0-1 with nine strikeouts and a 7.27 ERA.

High School: This two sport athlete played his baseball at Belton High School in Belton, Mo...a utility First Team All-Conference and All-District selection...played in the Missouri-Kansas All-Star game as well the MVP of the East-West All-Star game...All-Conference selection as a quarterback and punter.
