KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its volleyball athletes of the week for week four of the 2026 season, with MoWest senior libero Anna Weberg earning MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.

Weberg becomes the first Griffon volleyball player to earn an MIAA Athlete of the Week honor this season.

The senior helped No. 8 Griffon Volleyball open MIAA play with a pair of sweeps inside the Looney Complex. MoWest defeated No. 22 Central Oklahoma on Friday before sweeping Newman on Saturday to improve to 12-1 overall and 2-0 in MIAA play.

Weberg totaled 35 digs over the two matches, averaging 5.83 digs per set. She also recorded six assists and posted a .957 reception percentage on 24 reception attempts.

She finished with 17 digs in the sweep of No. 22 Central Oklahoma before adding a team-high 18 digs against Newman, averaging 6.00 digs per set in Saturday's victory.

Weberg also became MoWest's all-time career digs leader earlier this season.

MoWest will wrap up its 10-match homestand on Friday, Sept. 25, hosting Northwest Missouri State at 6 p.m. inside the Looney Complex.
