Baseball prepares for Bearcats midweek clash and a non-conference series vs Rockhurst

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Baseball (18-17, 13-11 MIAA) continues its homestand this week with a midweek conference matchup and a non-conference series against Rockhurst, including a Sunday road finale in Kansas City.

The Griffons enter the week on a three-game winning streak following a weekend home sweep of Washburn. MWSU has also won seven of its last eight games, dating back to the series finale against Northeastern State on March 22.

MWSU opens the week Wednesday, April 8 at 3 p.m. against No. 29 Northwest Missouri State (26-9, 16-5 MIAA) in an MIAA matchup. The contest marks the second meeting of the season between the two programs, as MoWest picked up a 16-6 road win over the Bearcats on March 25. The Griffons will look to build on recent conference momentum as they continue climbing the league standings.
