Griffons are now two games above the cutline for the conference tournament.

EMPORIA, Kan. - Griffon Softball (26-17, 7-13 MIAA) split a doubleheader at Emporia State Sunday, dropping the first game 5-4, but run ruling the second 12-1 in six innings at the Trusler Sports Complex in Emporia.

The Griffons picked up another key win, as MoWest is now two games ahead of Fort Hays State for the tenth and final spot in the MIAA tournament with four conference games to go.

Game 1: ESU 5 MWSU 4
In a close one throughout, ESU scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to lead 5-3 entering the seventh.
