KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MoWest women's basketball team has secured the #7 seed in the upcoming MIAA Basketball Championships in Kansas City on March 4-8.
The Griffons will face off against 10th-seeded Nebraska Kearney on Wednesday, March 4th at 2:15pm. All games will be held inside Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium. MWSU (13-15 overall, 9-10 MIAA) split the regular season series with UNK, falling 86-74 in Kearney on January 1st, before defeating the Lopers 86-69 in St. Joseph on January 17th.
The Griffons enter the conference tournament as one of the MIAA's hottest teams, having won 7 of their last 8 and 5 straight games, including a 94-88 double overtime win at Newman on Saturday afternoon.
Full session tickets for the 2026 MIAA Basketball Tournament, which include admission to all men's and women's game are available for purchase. Tickets are $60 when pre-purchased in person at MWSU, compared to $85 when bought through Ticketmaster or at the Municipal Auditorium box office.
Discounted full-session tickets (which have been on sale since early February) must be purchased in person at the Griffon Indoor Sports Complex by 6:00pm on Monday, March 2nd.
