ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The MoWest men's golf team will travel to Topeka, Kansas, to close out its fall schedule.
The Griffon men will compete in the Washburn Invite, hosted by Washburn University, at Topeka Country Club on Oct. 19–20. The 14-team field will consist of NCAA Division II teams, primarily from the region. MoWest currently ranks sixth in the Central Region, according to Scoreboard powered by Clippd.
The MoWest lineup will feature Parker Boggins, Bennett Berger, Tim Johnston, Jackson Patterson and Ethan Mustard, with Chancen Jordan competing as an individual.
Boggins enters the tournament following an individual victory at the Newman Men's Fall Invite/MIAA Preview last week. The sophomore finished tied for first place with Pittsburg State's Austen Mueller at 212 (-1) before securing the individual title in a three-hole playoff. His performance also earned him MIAA Co-Men's Golfer of the Week honors.
Following the first two MIAA designated events of the 2026-27 season, Boggins sits third in the conference's individual designated event standings. Boggins has recorded top-15 finishes at both the Holiday Inn Express Invitational and Newman Men's Fall Invite/MIAA Preview. Central Oklahoma's Nick Canales leads the individual standings, followed by Arkansas-Fort Smith's Chandler Cooke.
Central Oklahoma moved into first place in the MIAA team designated event standings following its victory at the Newman Fall Invitational. The conference standings are determined by points earned across four designated events throughout the season, with the remaining two scheduled for the spring.
Boggins and the Griffons will look to carry that momentum into Topeka and finish their fall campaign on a strong note.
