ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – No. 24 MoWest Volleyball (8-3) opens its MIAA conference schedule with a Kansas road trip, starting at Emporia State on Friday at 6 p.m. before heading to Topeka to battle No. 7 Washburn on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Fans can watch both matches live on the MIAA Network, with live stats available as well.
Emporia State (9-2) enters conference play, riding the momentum of a nine-match winning streak.
Saturday delivers a premier challenge for the Griffons, as they square off against No. 7 Washburn. The Ichabods are off to an 11-0 start, including sweeps over nine opponents.
MoWest enters conference play with already three wins over Central Region opponents and two wins over ranked teams. The Griffons have topped Emporia State in each of the last six meetings dating back to 2022.
The Griffons have also won five of the last six contests against the Ichabods since
Jessica Fey's first year as head coach in 2022.
What's Next
The Griffons return to the MWSU Fieldhouse for Pink Weekend and Homecoming Weekend next week, while also celebrating 50 years of Women's Sports at MoWest.
The home-opening series begins Friday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. against Nebraska–Kearney and wraps up Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. against Fort Hays State.
