Women’s Basketball Releases 2025-26 Schedule

29 regular season contests, including 15 home games inside the MWSU Fieldhouse.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – MoWest Women's Basketball has unveiled its 2025–26 schedule. This coming's season slate consists of 29 regular season contests, including 15 home games inside the MWSU Fieldhouse.

The Griffons unofficially get going under first-year head coach Luke Scheidecker with an exhibition at Division I Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

The season then officially tips off on Friday, October 31 when the Griffons face defending NCAA Division II national champion Grand Valley State at the St. Joseph Civic Arena, followed by another matchup on Sunday, November 2 against Lubbock Christian. These games are part of the 2025 D2CCA Men's and Women's Basketball Tip-off Classic hosted by the St. Joseph Sports Commission.

Non-conference play continues in November with a three-game homestand, as the Griffons welcome MSU-Moorhead (Nov. 14) and Concordia-St. Paul (Nov. 15). Those matchups are part of the Hillyard Tipoff Classic. The Griffs close out the November homestand with NAIA Cottey College (Nov. 18).

Road action picks up with trips to Harding (Nov. 22) and Ouachita Baptist (Nov. 24) before a home MIAA game on Tuesday, December 2 against Northwest Missouri State.

The Griffons close out the semester with matchups at Emporia State (Dec. 6), and then a home game against Calvary University, which will serve as the "Lehr Construction Education Day" game scheduled for 11 a.m. (Dec. 15).  Then Griffs then have a game at Lincoln University (Dec. 18) and a home game against McKendree (Dec. 20).

MWSU starts the new year with MIAA road contests against Nebraska-Kearney (Jan. 1) and Fort Hays State (Jan. 3). The Griffs then start a four-game homestand against Washburn (Jan. 7), Central Missouri (Jan. 10), Fort Hays State (Jan. 15) and Nebraska-Kearney (Jan. 17).

Road trips include Central Missouri (Jan. 21), Washburn (Jan. 24) and Northwest (Jan. 31).

February opens at home with Rogers State (Feb. 5) and Central Oklahoma (Feb. 7) before trips to Pittsburg State (Feb. 11) and Missouri Southern (Feb. 14).

The Griffs are home in the back half of February for games against Arkansas–Fort Smith (Feb. 19) and Northeastern State (Feb. 21). The homestand closes when Emporia State comes to town (Feb. 25).

February concludes on the road as the Griffons head to Wichita to face Newman (Feb. 28).

The MIAA Tournament is set to take place at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, starting March 4.
