GRIFFON SEASON LEADERS
The Griffons opened the 2025 season 1-3 against a well-rounded Harding team last weekend in Searcy, Arkansas.

Senior Rogelio Berumen led the Griffons at the plate over the four games, finishing 6-for-14 (.429 AVG) with four runs and three RBIs. Three of his hits went for extra bases, as he tallied a pair of triples and a double.

Junior newcomer Frank Gall finished second on the team with four hits and tied for the most RBIs (five) with senior Blake Anderson. Additionally, junior Jackson Bryant collected the first home run of the season for the Griffs after going yard in game two.

Another notable stat from the weekend came from senior Quinn Gundelfinger. The Nixa, Missouri, native successfully stole four bases in the game three win over the Bison, which is the second-most stolen bags in a single game in program history.

On the mound, junior Logan Winkelman earned a no-decision in his first start for the Griffons after striking out four batters in 4.0 innings. Lou Levy secured his first win of the season, registering three strikeouts in 3.0 innings for Western in the game three victory.

In addition, redshirt freshman Jayson Shorb tossed two strong innings from the bullpen, striking out four and walking only one, and true freshman Colby Deaver finished with three strikeouts in 4.0 innings of work in his first colligate appearance.
