EDMOND. Okla. - Missouri Western tennis (2-2) took a pair of doubles and singles matches, but came up short against No. 16 Angelo State, 4-3, at Edmond Center Court on the University of Central Oklahoma campus Saturday.
Angelo State is 5-0 this season, with wins over MIAA members Northeastern State and Central Oklahoma as well.

Johanna Priedite won No. 2 doubles, 6-2.
Ellie Messenger and
Elena Rey Garcia lost their No. 3 doubles match, 7-5.
Granero Boj was victorious in No. 1 singles 7-6, 6-3. Priedite won No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-3. Rey Garcia lost in No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-2. Castaño Malnero lost a competitive No. 4 singles match 6-7, 6-3, 6-2.
Roguet lost in No. 5 singles 6-1, 7-5. Messenger lost in No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-3.
Missouri Western is back in action in Edmond on Sunday at 9 a.m. against Ouachita Baptist (0-1).
