KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its week nine volleyball athletes of the week, with Griffon Volleyball's Anna Weberg earning Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.

Weberg anchored MoWest's defense with an outstanding weekend performance, totaling 61 digs across matches against No. 2 Washburn and Emporia State. Averaging 6.1 digs per set, she was a key factor in the Griffons' back-row success.Highlighted by her 30-dig effort in Friday's five-set upset over the nationally ranked Ichabods. Weberg followed with another strong defensive outing on Saturday against the Hornets, helping MoWest avenge its early-season loss to Emporia State.

The Griffons' back-to-back five-set victories extended their win streak to nine straight matches heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
