HAYS, Kan. - No. 16 Griffon Volleyball secured a share of the MIAA Regular Season Championship on Thursday night, rolling past Fort Hays State in a 3–0 sweep inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.
MoWest (21–5, 13–2 MIAA) extended its win streak to 12 straight with set scores of 25–17, 25–18 and 25–22 against Fort Hays State (15–12, 4–11 MIAA).
It marks the program's first MIAA regular season title since 2017.
After dominating the first two sets, the Griffons jumped out to a 5–1 lead in the third before Fort Hays State surged back to take an 8–7 advantage. MoWest responded with an 10–2 run to go up 17–10, but the Tigers rallied again to even the frame at 20–20. In the end, the Griffons closed the door, finishing the set 25–22 to complete the sweep and clinch their share of the MIAA Regular Season Championship.
Taylor Russell led the Griffons offensively with 11 kills, followed by
Emily Loy with eight and
Holly Heldt with seven. At the service line,
Lia Graham delivered a match-high three aces, while
Hayley Barsky added two and
Anna Weberg chipped in one. Defensively at the net, Heldt paced the block with four,
Trista Marx tallied three, and
Emma Salker recorded two.
Katelyn Diani-O'Day directed the offense with 20 assists, complemented by 13 from Barsky and three from Graham. In the back row, Weberg anchored the defense with 17 digs, Heldt contributed 10, and Graham added eight.

No. 16 Griffon Volleyball wraps up the regular season on the road at No. 5 Nebraska–Kearney on Friday, Nov. 14, with first serve set for 7 p.m. in Kearney, Nebraska. With a win, the Griffons can claim the MIAA Regular Season Championship outright.
