ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Volleyball (9-4, 1-1 MIAA) will finally host its home opener this weekend, welcoming a pair of MIAA opponents to the Looney Complex. The Griffons take on No. 3 Nebraska–Kearney on Friday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m.,
before facing Fort Hays State on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m.

This weekend also marks Pink Weekend and Homecoming Weekend, as MoWest celebrates 50 years of Women's Sports.

Fans can watch both matches live on the MIAA Network, with live stats available as well.

No. 3 Nebraska–Kearney (15-0, 2-0 MIAA) enters Friday's matchup on a 15-match winning streak, establishing itself as one of the nation's most dominant teams.

The Lopers have been nearly untouchable this fall, surrendering only two sets all season. UNK arrives in St. Joseph as MWSU's first MIAA opponent at home. The Griffons will look to measure themselves against one of the top programs in Division II
volleyball in Friday's showdown.

Saturday's matchup for MWSU is MIAA opponent Fort Hays State. The Tigers enter at 12–2 overall and 1–1 in MIAA play. MoWest leads the all-time series 49–13 and has won the last six meetings.
