The upperclassmen duo of senior outfielder Ryan Koval and junior relief pitcher Robert Farrell represented Missouri Western State University on the 2024 all-MIAA awards, released Thursday, May 2.
Koval, a native of Olathe, Kan., was named to the second team, marking his second all-league honor. Farrell, hailing from Joilet, Ill., received his first postseason loop recognition.
Koval concluded his final season with the Griffons hitting .316 which included a season-ending six-game hitting streak in which he pieced together three multiple-hit contests. A total of 16 extra base safeties which featured nine doubles and four home runs helped him contribute 25 RBI.
Farrell wound up his MWSU career as one of the all-time bullpen greats. His seven saves this spring put him at 12 which is a new program record.
