ST. JOSEPH, MO. – Sophomore infielder
Jackson Bryant tallied three singles and drove in two runs Friday, April 26, leading Missouri Western State University.
During an evening when head coach
Damian Stambersky, his staff, and the Griffons honored the Class of 2024, the home team staged an intense battle with MIAA foe Rogers State University at Griffon Park. The offenses were on full display throughout, trading scores over the first seven innings.
RSU managed a key four-run attack in the eighth, shutting down their hosts in their half and then in the ninth to capture a 9-4 decision. Bryant's big effort was followed by a pair of two-hit outings from senior outfielder
Ryan Koval (Olathe, Kan.) and junior infielder
Blake Anderson (Overland Park, Kan.).
MWSU (20-26 overall, 10-22 MIAA) wraps up the regular season and home slates Saturday, April 27. Game time is 12 p.m.
