ST. JOSEPH, MO. – A quartet of Missouri Western State University batters tallied multiple-hit outings Tuesday, April 23, topping a non-conference victory at Griffon Park.

Ryan Koval (Olathe, Kan.), junior infielder
Quinn Gundelfinger (Nixa, Mo.), sophomore outfielder
Anthony Taggart (Topeka, Kan.), and senior infielder
Travis Wiese (Vancouver, Wash.) all compiled two-or-more safeties to guide a 13-hit attack for head coach
Damian Stambersky's squad. Taggart and Koval each tripled while junior infielder
Kaden Doan (Frisco, Texas) also ripped a three-bagger, and senior catcher
Noah Cook (Urbandale, Iowa) clouted his fifth home run of the season.
All of that output lifted the home team to 11 runs and a quick 6-0 lead over visiting Quincy University of Illinois. The visitors crept as close as 7-5 before Missouri Western State University (19-25) plated four of the final five runs to close out an 11-6 victory.
