ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Now ranked No. 21 in the nation, Griffon Women's Basketball will put its 11-game winning streak on the line against Northwest Missouri State inside Bearcat Arena.

Griffon WBB (21-4, 16-3 MIAA) will once again hit the airwaves of KFEQ Radio, as fans can tune in with "The Voice of the Griffons" Tommy Rezac on the call. The games will air on KFEQ - AM 680 and the
KFEQ Live Stream.

Third in the conference, Northwest (20-5, 14-5 MIAA) enters Saturday on five-game winning streak. The Bearcats are 10-3 in Maryville, Missouri, last losing there on Feb. 1 against Nebraska Kearney. Western is 1-0 vs. Northwest this season.
Who to Watch
Northwest has two players on the MIAA's top-25 scoring list: junior guard Molly Hartnett with 12.8 ppg (13th); and junior guard Caely Kesten with 12 ppg (15th). Junior forward Kelsey Fields is 19th in the MIAA with 5.7 rpg. Sophomore guard Lindsey Kelderman is eighth in the conference with 43 made threes. Hartnett is eighth in the MIAA with 44 assists and 3.1 apg.
Head Coach
In season No. 6, 2006 Northwest graduate Austin Meyer is 79-85 as a Bearcat and in his overall career. Since taking on the role as head honcho in 2018-19, Meyer is 3-8 vs. MWSU, 2-3 when the Griffons visit and 3-6 vs. Whitaker.
Rivalry Record Rabbit Hole
Since first playing in 1981, MWSU leads Northwest 46-32 in the all-time series. Northwest is 22-18 when hosting MWSU. The Griffs have won four straight against the 'Cats, last falling against their conference foe on Dec. 18, 2021.

The Griffons handled business last time out and beat the Bearcats 61-47 on Jan. 13 at the MWSU Fieldhouse. Kesten was the only Bearcat to score in double figures, while the team as a whole 27.6% from the field and 20% from downtown. Clarke led MWSU with a double-double, scoring 16 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. Ellison scored a team-high 18 points while playing off the bench, shooting 8-of-13 from the field.

The Griffons clinched the MIAA Regular Season Championship with a 67-57 victory over Washburn at the MWSU Feildhouse. Miliakere Koyamainavure led the Griffons with a game-high16 points and eight rebounds .LaQuinta Jefferson tallied 14 points, and Sarafina Handy rounded out the offensive output with 13 points.
