ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Due to a 58-yard touchdown by Central Missouri with 3:54 left in the ballgame, Missouri Western lost 45-38 in heartbreaking fashion on Thursday night at Craig Field at Spratt Stadium.
Jared Scott paced the MWS rushing attack by accumulating 68 yards and one touchdown over the course of the game, averaging 7.6 yards per carry. Brandon Hall also added 21 yards on the ground.
Jonas Bennett hauled in 10 catches for 110 yards and one score. Traveon James made his presence felt in the passing game, recording two receptions for 53 yards.
Dakari Streeter paced the Missouri Western State defensive effort, recording three tackles, 1.5 TFL, and 1.5 sacks. Khalid Sereal added one sack in the loss.
Missouri Western State's defense held up fairly well against the run, limiting Central Missouri to 113 yards on the ground. Missouri Western State out-rushed Central Missouri by two yards.
