CLAREMORE, Okla. — Missouri Western Baseball will stay on the road this week in the MIAA with three-game series against Rogers State that provides an opportunity to get back on track in conference play.

WIESE'S WORLD
Junior infielder
Travis Wiese has been the Griffon's most-dangerous player at the plate this season, batting .348 on the season with two doubles and two triples and one home run. Wiese also leads the Griffons with 15 RBI and a .478 slugging percentage. Wiese also leads the Griffons in OPS, runs and hits.
HARD TO HIT
Senior pitcher
Jacob Weirich has been making batters work for everything they get, only allowing six walks on the season, good for fourth in the MIAA. Weirich has a 5.91 ERA this season with over 21.1 innings pitched. He has allowed 14 runs on 22 hits and has a 1.31 WHIP.
SCOUTING ROGERS STATE: MARCH 17-19
The Hillcats (15-7, 4-6 MIAA) have played good baseball this season and have been especially good at home, going 9-2 in Claremore, Oklahoma. The only two home losses RSU has have come to No. 5 Central Oklahoma, but the Hillcats did also find a win against the Bronchos. Rogers' last three-game series ended with a series win over Fort Hays, as the Hillcats took the final two contests in Hays, Kansas. Last time RSU took the field, it fell to Missouri Southern, giving up 14 hits in a 19-3 loss on the road.
Senior outfielder Prescott Horn leads RSU at the plate, batting .400 this season with a 1.043 OPS with 27 RBI. Junior infielder Gavin Mestas leads the Hillcats with five home runs and 26 hits, chipping in 19 RBI. As a team, the Hillcats have 13 home runs and 40 extra-base hits.
