WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Despite hanging tight for five innings, Griffon Baseball fell in seven vs. Central Missouri, losing 11-1 on Tuesday at James R. Crane Stadium.
Missouri Western (4-14, 1-9 MIAA) gave up a run in bottom of the first when Vance Tobol of UCM (16-7, 8-2 MIAA) sent an RBI single up the middle to score Mason Lowe. The Griffons knotted things up at 1-1 when
Jared Munk reached on a fielder's choice in the fourth, bringing home
Hunter Rumachik. After a Cole Moore RBI single broke the tie just half a frame later, the Mules used a six-run sixth inning to push their lead to 9-1.
Chase Heath ended the game with a two-run, walk-off single, enforcing the 10-run rule to end the game.
