ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — An all-around All-American.
Announced Thursday, Dec. 14,
Dakari Streeter earned a nod to the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America Second Team. It's his second All-America award in just as many days after being named to the Associated Press All-America Second Team on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
With this award, Streeter is the first Daktronics/D2CCA All-American Griffon since Michael Jordan in 2015. He is the ninth Griffon to earn Daktronic/D2CCA All-America honors and the fourth defensive player to do so. He joins Missouri Western Hall of Famer David Bass as the only two Daktronics/D2CCA All-America defensive linemen in program history.
Streeter is tied for third place in Division II with 12.5 sacks and also led the MIAA with 14 tackles for a loss. He is tied for fifth in the nation with 1.04 sacks per game and is also tied for second in the country with 11 solo sacks. As the team's first-ever MIAA Defensive Player of the Year, Streeter finishes his career with 18.5 sacks, the sixth most in program history. He was also tabbed to the D2CCA Super Region 3 Second Team earlier this December.
