ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Tuesday night will feature a battle of the unbeatens when Griffon Men's Basketball meets William Jewell in a out-of-conference matchup at the Mabee Center in Liberty, Missouri.

Griffon Men's Basketball (3-0) will grace the airwaves of KFEQ Radio, as fans can tune in with the "Voice of the Griffons" Tommy Rezac and MWSU Director of Athletic Communications Derek Zimmerman-Guyer on the call. The game will air on KFEQ - AM 680 and the
KFEQ Live Stream.
The game is also available to watch on the GLVC Network. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m., with pregame starting at 6:30. Game admission can be found in the "Tickets" tab.

Hailing from the Great Lake Valley Conference, William Jewell is 4-0 for the first time since 2017. The Cardinals competed in the GLIAC/GLVC during the weekend of Nov. 10, defeating teams such as Davenport and Purdue Northwest. Jewell recently beat MIAA teams Washburn and Newman on Nov. 15 and 18, respectively. The Cards are 2-0 at the Mabee Center in Liberty, Missouri, this season.
Who to Watch
Fifth-year guard Kobe McKinley is third in the GLVC with 19 PPG, going off for 22 or more points twice in four games. He scored 22 points in 28 minutes vs. Newman in a 90-77 win, making 11-of-14 shots. McKinley also has third-most steals in the GLVC with nine He's flanked by senior guard Jordan Jermain's 18 PPG, which is fifth in the GLVC. Jermain is also sixth in his conference with 7.0 RPG.

In his fifth season with Jewell, Chris McCabe is 49-63 as a Cardinal and in his career. Since 2019, he is 0-2 vs. MWSU and 0-1 when the Griffs come to Liberty.

Since first playing in 1973, the Griffons are 17-11 vs. the Cardinals and are 1-1 since 2001 when playing in Liberty. The last time MWSU played at the Mabee Center was on Nov. 26, 2018, resulting in a 78-75 Griffon win.

Back in 2014, the Griffons opened the regular season with a 66-60 victory over Rockhurst in the Hillyard Tipoff Classic at the MWSU Fieldhouse. Western held Rockhurst to 34% from the field and allowed zero fast break points. Aaron Emmanuel scored a team-high 13 points to lead the Griffons to the win.
