— A dominant first half from Missouri Western Women's Basketball's dynamic duo of
Connie Clarke and
Brionna Budgetts led the Griffons to a 74-53 win over Northeastern State on Monday at the MWSU Fieldhouse.
Both Clarke (!6) and Budgetts (15) scored all their points in the first half, outscoring NSU in the first half and giving MWSU a 45-26 advantage at halftime. The Griffons (12-4, 6-2 MIAA) never trailed vs. Northeastern (4-7, 1-6 MIAA), as they were able to rest multiple starters in the second half. Players like
Kadyn Cobb,
Camille Evans and
Alyssa Bonilla took control of the game in the latter half, helping MWSU coast to its fifth win in a row.

- Clarke's 16 points, 11-rebound night marks her seventh double-double of the season.
