Glover breaks 3-point record in loss to Newman

Box Score WICHITA, Kan. — Despite a record-breaking night for one of Missouri Western's great shooters of all time, Griffon Men's Basketball fell to Newman, 71-55, on Thursday night at Fugate Gymnasium.

Missouri Western (8-7, 4-5 MIAA) fell into a 14-2 hole within the first five minutes of the game, but just its eighth shot of night proved to be a historic one. Reese Glover sank his 234-career three at the 14:25 mark of the first half, cementing himself as the school's all-time 3-pointer leader. He passes Cole Clearman's (2014-18) mark of 233.

Glover hit three No. 235 later on in the night, but Newman (6-10, 2-8 MIAA) never surrendered the lead, taking it all the way home to break a four-game losing streak. Missouri Western is now 3-1 all-time vs. the Jets.
