ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Due to tomorrow's forecast, Tuesday's 4 p.m. game between No. 4 Central Missouri and Missouri Western Baseball is being pushed up to a 12 p.m. start time at the Spring Sports Complex.
This is Griffons' (8-25, 5-18 MIAA) third game vs. the Mules (29-4, 22-1 MIAA), who has been sitting in the top-25 poll all season. Central Missouri recently swept Missouri Southern (23-15, 13-10 MIAA) this weekend.
The Griffons are coming off an MIAA series win over Northwest Missouri State (14-22, 8-15) and have won three of their last four games.
Zack Cushing pitched 14.1 innings in two starts during that span, striking out 15 and giving up just two runs. At the plate,
Jared Munk recorded at least two hits in the last four games, hitting 9-for-15 with one home run, one triple, one double, four RBI and five runs scored.
After Tuesday's showdown, MWSU hits the road to take on Fort Hays State in a three-game set starting on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Hays, Kansas.
