TOPEKA, Ks. — With Saturday's 13-5 final, Washburn takes game two and the series from Griffon Baseball, who has lost seven in a row.
The Griffons (4-20, 2-13 MIAA) got out in front in the first thanks to a two-run home run by
Alex Crouch, his 10th of the season — which ties him for fourth-most in the MIAA. Trailing 3-2 after a
Zach Hanlan homer in second, the Ichabods (21-7, 12-3 MIAA) rattled off 11-unanswered runs to lead 13-3. The Griffons avoided the run-rule defeat with Hanlan's second homer of the day that scored
Landon Klein in the seventh.
