RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — One of the most successful streaks in Griffon Tennis history is over.
Missouri Western fell 4-3 to Arkansas Tech on Friday at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex. Each doubles match was decided 6-2 with MWSU losing at No. 1 and No. 2 showdowns. Esther Güemes kept her undefeated singles season alive at 6-0, but Arkansas Tech's Lea Grinberg's No. 1 singles victory over Anya Chavez gave the Golden Suns the upset victory.

Arkansas Tech improves to 3-5 this season. Missouri Western (6-1) moves on to face Harding (8-3) on Saturday at 1 p.m in Searcy, Arkansas. The Bison just beat Arkansas Tech 5-2 last Thursday and Northwest Missouri State 4-0 on Wednesday.
