TOPEKA, Ks. — Missouri Western Men's Basketball fell to the Ichabods of Washburn University of Friday by a score of 76-51 at Lee Arena.
Reed Kemp led the Griffons (5-3, 2-1 MIAA) in scoring, finding 15 points in 19 minutes of playing time off the bench. 
Will Eames scored eight and grabbed six rebounds, and 
Taye Fields grabbed six rebounds as well. 
The first half was a close affair, with both teams trading blows early. Neither team could muster more than a two-possession lead until the final two minutes of the half when Washburn (4-6, 1-3 MIAA) went on a 10-2 run to close the half. The Griffs trailed at the break, 37-26.
Half number two was defined by a six-minute period between the 16 and 10 minute mark. Washburn would go on a 17-0 run, taking the score from 39-30 to 56-30. Missouri Western chipped away at the lead, bringing it down to 15 before Washburn would eventually pull away, beating the Griffons, 76-51.
