PITTSBURG, Ks. — Despite leading by three points at halftime, the Griffons fell to No. Pittsburg State on Saturday at Carnie Smith Stadium, 28-16.
Missouri Western (3-5, 3-5 MIAA) took a 3-0 lead with a 19-yard
Cody Watson field goal in the second quarter and led at 10-7, before eventually giving up 21-straight points to Pitt State (8-0, 8-0 MIAA). The Griffons were held to 275 yards of offense, while Pittsburg amassed 335.

Reagan Jones threw for 140 yards and led the team with 74 rushing yards.
Traveon James had five receptions for 43 yards, and
Jonas Bennett joined Jones with a touchdown apiece on the ground.
