ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Western softball team split a doubleheader with No. 18 Central Oklahoma Sunday at the Griffon Spring Sports Complex. MWSU won the opener, 3-1, before falling in game two to the Bronchos, 4-0. The Griffons are now 20-10 this season and 9-3 in the MIAA.
GAME 1 – Missouri Western 3, #18 Central Oklahoma 1

Sydney Rader had a one-hitter threw six innings in game one and finished with a complete-game three-hitter to improve to 9-4. It's her third win against a ranked opponent this season as Rader finished with four strikeouts and two walks.
The Griffs got on the board in the first inning as
Emma Hoffart drove in
Sydni Hawkins with a sacrifice fly, and they added two runs in the sixth on back-to-back RBI doubles by
Brea Blanton and Hoffart.
Hawkins finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored, while Blanton added two hits.
GAME 2 - #18 Central Oklahoma 4, Missouri Western 0
The Griffons were one-hit in game two on Sunday as
Chloe Armstrong broke up the no-hit bid with a one-out single in the seventh inning.
Kaili Hinds threw a complete game in the loss as she allowed four runs on seven hits. Hinds struck out three and walked three as she is now 9-3 this season.
