ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western Women's Basketball hits the road this week for their final regular season road trip of the season. The Griffons (17-5, 9-4 MIAA) travel to John Lance Arena on Wednesday to take on Pittsburg State (12-9, 8-5 MIAA) and close out the week with a trip to Joplin to face Missouri Southern (7-14, 4-9 MIAA).
 
The Griffons will look to snap a six-game losing streak to the Gorillas on Wednesday following a huge 67-57 win over #18 Central Missouri last Saturday. It would not be the first streak the Griffs have broken this season. With the win over the Jennies, MWSU snapped UCM's 15-game winning streak. With these final two road matchups, Missouri Western will look to also finish play away from St. Joseph with a winning record.

• KT also averages 2.5 made three-pointers per contest which ranks her in the top-five of the conference in that stat category.
• Roenfeldt also ranks in the top-10 of the league in assists averaging 3.6 per game.
• Anastacia Johnson ranks third in the MIAA in steals averaging 2.4 takeaways per contest.
• Kylee Williams also ranks in the top-10 of the league in made three-point field goals per game averaging 2.1 per game.

 
SCOUTING PITTSBURG STATE
 

• The Gorillas lead the MIAA in scoring averaging 78.2 points per game.
• PSU also ranks in the top-five of the league in steals averaging 14.9 takeaways.
• Pittsburg State also ranks second in the conference in field goal percentage averaging 45% shooting.
• Tristan Gegg is the leading scorer in the MIAA averaging 18.9 points per game.
• Athena Alvarado ranks in the top-five of the conference in rebounding averaging 8.1 boards per game.
• Kaylee DaMitz averages six assists per game leading the MIAA in that stat category.

 
SCOUTING MISSOURI SOUTHERN
 

• The Lions are good at defending the field holding opponents to only 38% in field goal percentage.
• Missouri Southern also ranks third in the conference in defensive rebounds averaging 27.4 boards on that end of the glass.
• MSSU also leads the league in blocked shots averaging 5.19 rejections per game.
• Chasidee Owens is the leading scorer for the Lions averaging 14.7 points per contest.
• Zoe Campbell leads the MIAA in blocked shots averaging 2.6 rejections per game.
• Destiny Cozart ranks third in the league in three-point field goals made per game averaging 2.8.
