ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western Men's Basketball returns to MWSU Fieldhouse after a long three-game road trip. The Griffons (7-11, 3-4 MIAA) will welcome Fort Hays State (7-9, 1-7 MIAA) on Thursday night and turn around and play Nebraska-Kearney (12-5, 6-2 MIAA) on Saturday.
 
The Griffons look to bounce back from a three-game losing skid with these two conference matchups. They also look to continue their success at MWSU Fieldhouse as they are currently undefeated at home.
 
PREVIEWING THE GRIFFONS
 

• Missouri Western leads the MIAA in blocked shots averaging 4.17 per contest.
• The Griffons also rank in the top-five of the conference in three-point field goals made per game averaging 9.1 made shots from beyond the arc.
• Tyrell Carroll is the leading scorer for the Griffons averaging 17.8 points per contest. This ratio ranks Carroll fourth best in the MIAA.
• Carroll also averages 5.9 assists per game ranking him in the top-five of the conference in that stat category.
• TC also ranks second-best in the conference in steals averaging 2.1 takeaways per game.
• Will Eames averages 7.2 rebounds per game which ranks him in the top-10 of the conference in that category.
• Tyus Millhollin leads the MIAA in three-point field goals made per game with an average of 3.1. Millhollin also ranks third in the league in three-point field goal percentage averaging 38% from beyond the arc.
• Reese Glover also averages 2.1 made three-point field goals per game.
• Alex John averages 1.3 blocked shots per game which ranks him in the top-10 of that stat category.

 
SCOUTING FORT HAYS STATE
 

• The Tigers average 73.1 points per game ranking them in the top-10 of the MIAA.
• As a team, Fort Hays averages 46% from the field also ranking them in the top-10 for that stat category.
• Jared Vitztum averages 7.5 rebounds per game ranking himself in the top-10 of the MIAA.
• Vitztum is also the leading scorer for the Tigers averaging 13 points per game.
• Nyjee Wright also averages 2.3 assists per contest for the Tigers ranking him within the top-20 of the league in that category.
• Aaron Nicholson also averages 1.7 made three-pointers per game for FHSU.
