ORLANDO, Fla. – Missouri Western (8-4) put together a dominating team performance in its final match at Spring Break Tennis in Orlando, cruising to a 7-0 win over Minnesota Crookston (0-10) on Monday morning.

The Griffons outmatched Minnesota Crookston from top to bottom, outscoring the Golden Eagles by a combined point score of 90-5. It was the squad's first seven-point shutout of an NCAA Div. II opponent this season.

Karolina Ström and
Joanna Abreu Roman won their fifth-straight doubles match with a 6-0 shutout to begin doubles play.
Federica Salmaso and
Bojana Vuksan also earned a shutout win, while
Mireia Birosta and
Erica Dunn won their match by a score of 6-2.

Starting off the singles for the Griffons was
Daniela Alvarado Maldonado on the number six courts, who earned her first career victory at Missouri Western with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Vuksan upped her singles winning streak to five matches in a shutout win of her own. Abreu Roman and Birosta gave the Griffons their fifth and sixth shutouts of the match.

Ström and Salmaso each rolled to wins on the number one and four courts respectively, sealing the 7-0 victory for Missouri Western.

Missouri Western officially ends its stay at Spring Break Tennis in Orlando, and will travel to Northwest Missouri (5-2) for its next match on March 14.
