WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Missouri Western Men's Basketball team (4-5, 1-0) rallied late to pick up its first win at Central Missouri (3-5, 0-1) since 2011, 67-64. The Griffons scored 44 second half points, shooting 57% in the half and getting 37 of those points from five freshmen to win their conference opener for the first time since 2013.

Without leading scorer
Tyrell Carroll, who was ill, the Griffons were in the game throughout, never trailing by more than five points. Central Missouri led by two with 3:27 left.
Will Eames knocked down two free throws to tie the game at 59.
Reese Glover's 3-pointer with 2:49 left to give the Griffons a 62-59 lead that they never lost. Eames scored the final five points for MWSU, missing just one of six free throws down the stretch.

- Eames finished with his first career double-double, scoring a career and game-high 25 points with 10 rebounds and three blocks. He scored 19 in the second half making nine of his final 10 shots.
- Reese Glover finished with 14 points, all in the second half.
- Tyus Millhollin had 12 points and a team-high three assists.
- Beau Baker pulled down nine rebounds.
- The Griffons shot 84.6% at the free throw line, knocking down 22 of 26 attempts.
- MWSU made two less shots than the Mules, but made nine more free throws.
