ST. JOSEPH – The Griffon Volleyball team will hit the road for two this week as they will travel to Nebraska-Kearney to take on the No. 3 Lopers and go to Fort Hays on Saturday to take on the Tigers.
 
The Griffons hope to extend their two-match win streak after two solid home victories against Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern last week.
 
PREVIEWING THE GRIFFONS

• Missouri Western leads the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.99.
• The Griffons are also ranked in the top-five of the conference in hitting percentage per set with an amount of .219.
• Ali Tauchen leads the league in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.04. Three Griffons (Tauchen, Danielle Moje, and Allie Kerns) are ranked in the top-15 of this category.
• Tauchen ranks fourth in the MIAA in average kills per set (3.4) and sixth in average hitting percentage (.348).
• Lauren Murphy ranks top-five in the MIAA in average assists per set with a rate of 9.94.
• Tiana Butler ranks second in the league in average digs per set with a rate of 5.84. This rate ranks 23^rd in all of Division II.

 
SCOUTING NEBRASKA-KEARNEY

• The Lopers lead the MIAA in average digs per set with a rate of 20.12. This rate is second best in all of Division II.
• Nebraska Kearney also ranks in the top-five in the conference of every statistical category.
• Emma Benton ranks second in the conference in average aces per set with a rate of .40.
• Maddie Squiers ranks fourth in the league in average assists per set with a rate of 10.63.
• Lindsay Nottlemann ranks in the top-five in the MIAA in average digs per set with a rate of 5.12.

 
SCOUTING FORT HAYS

• Fort Hays is looking to bounce back from a two-game losing streak this week. Their last two losses were at No. 10 Northwest and at No. 13 Central Missouri.

• The Tigers rank top-five in the MIAA in average assists per set with a rate of 11.73.
• Delaney Humm ranks third in the conference in average kills per set with a rate of 3.56.
• Katie Darnell ranks sixth in the league in average assists per set with a rate of 8.48.
• Tatum Bartels ranks in the top-10 in the MIAA in average hitting percentage as well with a rate of .298.
