ST. JOSEPH – Griffon Volleyball (12-9, 6-7 MIAA) will hit the road once more to compete in three matches this week. This weekend will be the last conference road trip of the 2019 season as the Griffs will head to Central Missouri (16-6, 10-3 MIAA) on Oct. 29, Missouri Southern (12-12, 5-9 MIAA) on Nov. 1, and Pittsburg State (11-12, 6-8 MIAA) on Nov. 2.
 
The Griffons will look to continue from last weekend's success at home as they swept Emporia State in three sets last Saturday. The Griffs also look to remain in the hunt for postseason play as they are currently ranked sixth in the MIAA headed into this week's matchups.
 
PREVIEWING THE GRIFFONS
 

• Missouri Western ranks top-five in the MIAA in average hitting percentage with .219.
• The Griffs also rank in the top-five of the conference average blocks per set with a rate of 1.85.
• Tiana Butler ranks second in the league in average digs per set with a rate of 5.97. This rate also ranks 13^th in all of Division II.
• Ali Tauchen currently ranks top-five in the conference in average hitting percentage (.338), average kills (3.35), and average blocks (.99) per set.
• Jessica Sachen ranks fourth in the MIAA in average aces per set with a rate of .33.
• Lauren Murphy also ranks fifth in the league in average assists per set with a rate of 10.26.
• Danielle Moje and Allie Kerns also rank in the top-15 in the conference in average blocks per set.

 
SCOUTING CENTRAL MISSOURI
 

• The Jennies rank second in the MIAA in hitting percentage with .241.
• Central Missouri also rank third in the conference in average assists per set with a rate of 12.75.
• Audrey Fisher leads the league in average hitting percentage per set with .363.
• Ally Offerdahl ranks third in the MIAA in average assists per set with a rate of 10.76.
• Hannah Engelken ranks fourth in the conference in average blocks per set with a rate of .95.

 
SCOUTING MISSOURI SOUTHERN
 

• The Lions rank second in the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.99.
• Missouri Southern also ranks fifth in the conference in digs per set with 17.40.
• Alicia Pickett ranks second in the league in average blocks per set with 1.02.
• Janelle Brehm ranks sixth in the conference in average kills per set with a rate of 3.10.
• Brooklynn McCain ranks ninth in the conference in digs per set with a rate of 3.72.
