ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western Volleyball returns home this week for the first time in over two weeks. The Griffons (11-7, 5-5 MIAA) will host No. 14 Northwest Missouri (14-5, 7-4 MIAA) on Tuesday, No. 3 Washburn (17-2, 9-2 MIAA) on Thursday, and Emporia State (5-14, 1-10 MIAA) on Saturday.
 
The Griffons look to continue success from last weekend into this week, as they swept the Newman Jets in Wichita last Saturday.
 
PREVIEWING THE GRIFFONS
 

• Missouri Western is fourth in the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.90.
• The Griffons are also top-five in the conference in average hitting percentage with a percentage of .216.
• Ali Tauchen is second in the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.03.
• Tauchen is also top-five in the league in average kills (3.37) and hitting percentage (.346) per set.
• Danielle Moje and Allie Kerns are also ranked in the top-25 of the MIAA in average blocks per set.
• Lauren Murphy is fifth in the conference in average assists per set with a rate of 10.11.
• Jessica Sachen is top-five in the MIAA in average service aces per set with a rate of .34.
• Tiana Butler is ranked second in the conference in average digs per set with a rate of 5.89. This rate is ranked 19^th in all of Division II.

 
SCOUTING NORTHWEST
 

• The Bearcats are ranked as the best in the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.98.
• Northwest is also ranked in the top-five of the conference standings in every statistical category
• Hallie Sidney leads the league in average kills per set with a rate of 4.10.
• Bethany Elkins also leads the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.05.
• Maddy Ahrens ranks in the top-five of the conference in average service aces (.35) and average assists (10.91) per set.

 
SCOUTING WASHBURN
 

• The Ichabods lead the MIAA in average assists (13.11), kills (14.34) and service aces (1.53) per set, as well as in the top-five in the conference in average digs (18.19), blocks (1.94) and hitting percentage (.234).
• Allison Sadler leads the league in average assists per set with a rate of 11.00.
• Genna Berg ranks second in the MIAA in average kills per set with a rate of 3.75.
• Faith Rottinghaus ranks third in the conference in average digs per set with a rate of 5.38.
• Kelsey Gordon and Allison Maxwell also rank in the top-10 of the league in average blocks per set.

 
SCOUTING EMPORIA STATE
 

• The Hornets rank sixth in the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.72.
• Alliyah Bernard ranks fifth in the conference in average hitting percentage per set with a rate of .336.
• Bernard is also ranked in the top-15 of the league in average blocks per set with a rate of .75.
• Yuchen Du is in the top-10 of the conference in average kills per set with a rate of 2.99.
• Rylie Fornelli and Shelby Innes are in the top-15 of the MIAA in average digs per set.
