ST. JOSEPH – The Missouri Western Volleyball team will play the second half of their four-match road trip this week, as they head to Central Oklahoma on Friday, Oct. 18 and to Newman on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The Griffons look to ride the momentum of sweeping Fort Hays last Saturday into Friday's matchup with the Bronchos. They also look to extend their five-match win streak against the Jets on Saturday.
 
PREVIEWING THE GRIFFONS:

• Missouri Western ranks third in the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.94.
• The Griffons also rank fifth in the conference in hitting percentage per set with a percentage of .215.
• Ali Tauchen leads the MIAA in average blocks per set with a rate of 1.05.
• Tauchen also ranks top-five in the league in hitting percentage and kills per set, as well as top ten in service aces per set.
• Lauren Murphy ranks top-five in the conference in average assists per set with a rate of 10.
• Tiana Butler ranks second in the MIAA in average digs per set with a rate of 5.95. That average ranks her 19^th highest in all of Division II.
• Jessica Sachen ranks fifth in the conference in average aces per set with a rate of .34.
• Danielle Moje and Allie Kerns also rank in the top-15 of the MIAA in blocks per set.

 
SCOUTING CENTRAL OKLAHOMA:

• The Bronchos rank second in the MIAA in average digs per set with a rate of 19.48.
• Central Oklahoma also ranks in the top-five in the league in average aces, kills, and assists per set.
• Dominique Lipari leads the MIAA in both average digs per set (6.74) and total digs for 2019 so far (445).
• Regan Inglis ranks sixth in the conference in average blocks per set with a rate of .92.
• Malia Kaaiohelo ranks eighth in the league in average service aces with a rate of .31.

 
SCOUTING NEWMAN:

• The Jets rank ninth in the MIAA in average service aces per set with a rate of 1.02.
• Trinity Conley ranks fifth in the MIAA in average kills per set with a rate of 3.25.
• Mackenzie Anderson ranks sixth in the league in average digs per set with a rate of 3.92.
• Reagan Roth ranks eighth in the conference in average assists with a rate of 7.27 per set.
