ST. JOSEPH - Griffon baseball will dive into conference play this weekend as the team travels to Central Missouri for a three-game series.
Inclement weather forced the series to be pushed back two days, now scheduled to start on Sunday, Feb. 25. Missouri Western went 5-5 in its first 10 non-conference games, earning a series win at Harding before splitting a four-game series at Arkansas Tech. The Griffons were able to hold a home opening series last weekend against No. 19 St. Cloud State, taking the series finale after dropping the first two games of the series.
Winners of five-straight games, Central Missouri enters the weekend 6-2. The Mules swept a shortened series from Colorado-Colorado Springs and swept Winona State, all at home after going 1-2 at the Houston Winter Invitational.
