WEDNESDAY, DEC. 19
(W) 5:30 p.m. – Missouri Western (4-5) vs. Newman (6-4)
(M) 7:30 p.m. – Missouri Western (5-6) vs. Rockhurst (6-3)

ST. JOSEPH – Both Griffon basketball teams will return to the hardwood this week before the holiday break. It will be the first action for both teams since the doubleheader against Lincoln on Dec. 8.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
  • A win for the Missouri Western Women would put them at a .500 winning percentage for the season. The Griffons have started .500 or better through the first 10 games in each of the last four seasons.
  • Jessica Davies has given the Griffons a much needed offensive boost. Davies is averaging over 13 points and 30 minutes over her last three games, including a career-high 18 points in the team's win over Lincoln on Dec. 8.
  • Wednesday will be the fifth game that Griffon Men's Basketball has played against a GLVC opponent. The Griffons are 2-3 against GLVC opponents this season.
  • A Griffon Men's win would give the Griffons a .500 record through 12 games. The Griffons have not been .500 or better after 10 games since the 2014-15 season.

GRIFFON WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
  • Katrina Roenfeldt leads the team in scoring at 14 points per game.
  • KeShara Scott is the Griffons' top rebounder, pulling down 5.8 boards per game.
  • Cera Ledbetter averages 10 points and five rebounds per game.
  • The Griffons are allowing less than six made three's per game.

NEWMAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
  • Bria DeGrate is the Jets' top offensive threat, scoring 14.6 points per game.
  • The Jets enter Wednesday's game after suffering two-straight losses by an average of 17 points.
  • The Jets are holding their opponents to a 38 percent field goal percentage.
  • Haley Albers anchors the Newman defense, averaging 6.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per games.

GRIFFON MEN'S BASKETBALL
  • The Griffons are holding opponents to just 43 percent shooting.
  • Lavon Hightower has scored at least 15 points in 10 of Missouri Western's 11 games this season.
  • The Griffons have made more three pointers than their opponents in all but one of their games this season.
  • Bryan Hudson is scoring 12.6 points per game on 55 percent shooting

ROCKHURST MEN'S BASKETBALL
