ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western Women's Basketball (2-2) will aim to bounce back from two-straight losses. The Griffons will travel to Quincy before returning to St. Joseph to host the Fairfield Inn Thanksgiving Classic this weekend.
 

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

• Missouri Western traditionally plays well at the Thanksgiving Classic. The Griffons have won both games in each of the last four seasons of the event.
• Katrina Roenfeldt will look to continue her streak of double-digit scoring games. Roenfeldt has scored at least 10 points in all four games this season.
• Coach Rob Edmisson may begin to solidify his starting lineup after this week. Only three players have started every game so far this season.
• The Griffons defeated Quincy 72-52 last season when Melia Richardson led the team with 15 points and five assists.

 
SCOUTING THE GRIFFONS

• The Griffons have scored the exact same amount of points as their opponents so far this season. The team has both scored and allowed 267 points this season.
• Cera Ledbetter is fifth in the MIAA in field goal percentage at 54 percent.
• Roenfeldt leads the team in both points (15.8) and minutes (32.8) per game.
• Missouri Western is holding its opponents to just 38 percent shooting this season.
• Melia Richardson averages a team-high 2.5 assists per game.

 
QUINCY

• Maddie Spagnola averages 13.5 points and five rebounds per game.
• Despite losing their first four games, the Hawks are out-rebounding their opponents by nearly four rebounds per game.
• Turnovers have been an issue for Quincy so far this season as the team averages over 20 per game.
• Grace Schraufnagel leads the team with 6.8 rebounds per game.

 
SAINT MARY

• The Spires attempt over 20 three-point attempts per game.
• Katelyn Loecker is coaching in her first season as head coach for the Spires. Loecker graduated from Oklahoma State in 2017, where she was a part of three NCAA tournament appearances on the women's basketball team.
• The Spires are coming off of an 18-12 season in 2017-18.
• Tiani White leads the team in scoring at 17.5 points per game.

 
WILLIAM JEWELL

• The Cardinals are shooting 43 percent from the field.
• Antoinette Mussoricim, Kayla Harrell, and Sydney Offield each average double-digit points.
• The Cardinals are allowing 69 points per game.
• Kiara Bradley leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game.
