UCM Game Notes
ST. JOSEPH - Missouri Western women's basketball plays the first of just two January home games this Saturday when the Griffons host No. 12/10 Central Missouri in the MWSU Fieldhouse.
The game was originally scheduled to be MWSU's last home game for almost a month, but Mother Nature had other plans and forced Missouri Western to postpone Jan. 11 games against Southwest Baptist until Monday, Jan. 15. Missouri Western is looking to snap a three-game MIAA skid and Central Missouri enters having won its last eight games and ranked No. 12 in the WBCA poll and No. 10 in the D2SIDA poll. Central Missouri was scheduled to play at Northwest Missouri on Jan. 11. That game was also rescheduled for Jan. 15.
Central Missouri outscored Missouri Western 28-7 in the third quarter of the teams' Dec. 14 game in Warrensburg, winning the game 70-48. The Griffons trailed by one at the half, but the huge quarter by the Jennies put the game out of reach.
