ST. JOSEPH – Griffon volleyball plays its first weekend home series as they host Missouri Southern and Southwest Baptist in the MWSU Fieldhouse. It is also the first time this season MWSU plays back-to-back home matches.
 
MISSOURI WESTERN
Missouri Western is 8-8 on the season … Stephanie Doak is second in the MIAA for kills (216) and second in kills per set (3.93) … Lauren Murphy ranks third in the conference for assists per set (11.06) and fifth for assists (553) … Kayla Ruff is fourth in the league for both digs (300) and digs per set (5.26) … As a team, the Griffons are second in the MIAA for digs per set (18.56) … third for digs (1058) … fourth for kills (754) and assists (707) … fifth in assists per set (12.40), kills (13.23) and total blocks (112).
 
MISSOURI SOUTHERN
The Lions are 9-7 on the season … MSSU and MWSU do not have a common opponent this season … Missouri Southern is third in the MIAA for blocks (132),  … fourth in blocks per set (2.16) … Last season, Missouri Western swept both matches against the Lions … The Griffons lead the all-time series 67-27-2
 
SOUTHWEST BAPTIST
The Bearcats are 2-14 on the season … Both teams played Henderson State, SBU fell 3-0 and MWSU beat the Reddies 3-1 … Southwest Baptist is sixth in the MIAA for service aces per set (1.17) … tenth for blocks per set (1.71) … Last season, Missouri Western won both matches against the Bearcats and leads the all-time series 46-10
