BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Griffon volleyball dropped a pair of matches in the final day of the Ferris State Invitational. MWSU fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-19) to Grand Valley State in game one. In game two, Missouri Western fell to Northern Michigan 3-1 (25-13, 18-25, 25-16, 27-25).

ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Shellby Taylor was named to the All-Tournament team. On the weekend, Taylor had 35 kills and nine blocks.

HAMMERING THE WAY
Stephanie Doak tied a career-high for kills in the Northern Michigan. Her 15 kills on 41 attempts her both match highs. Last season, Doak hammered 15 kills against Southwest Baptist and Pittsburg State.

HOT STREAK
Missouri Western used a 13-3 run in the second set against Northern Michigan. On the run, MWSU went rallied off seven straight points to blow the match open at 21-13.

The Griffons head to West Palm Beach, Florida on Sept. 8 as they Embry-Riddle at 9 a.m. CST and Augustana at 2 p.m. CST.
