ST. JOSEPH – Griffon baseball (25-18, 22-11) fell to Northwest Missouri State (27-16, 16-14) 5-3. The loss snaps MWSU's longest winning streak of the season at nine games.

- Missouri Western started the game by getting two of its first three batters on base before Jeremy Alvarado drove in the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly
- An error on the Bearcats in the fourth inning allowed MWSU to tie the game at 2-2
- No extra base hits were recorded by either team, it's the fourth time this season the Griffon defense has not allowed an extra base hit
- MWSU pitchers combined to throw 10 strikeouts
- The nine-game winning streak was the longest by Missouri Western since April 6, 2016 when it also won nine consecutive games
