Glaude Breaks Third Career Record; Griffons Stay Hot

David Glaude breaks career doubles record in 6-3 win


KEARNEY, Neb. – Griffon baseball (23-17, 20-10) beat Nebraska Kearney (13-27, 6-21) 6-3 for its seventh consecutive win. David Glaude hit his 49th career double in the third inning, breaking Spencer Shockley's record of 48. It is the third career record Glaude has broken this season.

NOTABLES
  • Jeremy Alvarado and Bailey Zimmer each homered in the win making it the first multiple home run game for MWSU since March 31
  • Dusty Stroup's RBI single followed by Nick Gawley's two RBI triple padded the Griffon lead to 6-2 in the ninth inning
  • Levi Schreiner extend his hitting streak to 11 games as David Glaude reached base for the 16th straight game
  • Nate Hunter and Zach Cross combined to strikeout 11 Loper batters, the second most this season for the Griffons
  • The first five batters in the Missouri Western lineup had nine of its 11 hits
