ST. JOSEPH – Griffon baseball (21-17, 18-10) beat Fort Hays (9-29, 2-23) 8-1 to sweep the Tigers.
Dustin Agnew threw his first career complete game as a Griffon, making him the third starter to go the full nine innings in the series.
NOTABLES
- Missouri Western jumped out to an early first inning lead when David Glaude's RBI double scored Dusty Stroup and Alex Heuring followed with an RBI single to drive in Glaude
- Levi Schreiner scored on a wild pitch as Ryan Smith scored later in the second inning to go up 4-0
- Heuring's fifth inning single started a three run rally for MWSU in the inning
- Fort Hays committed seven errors on the afternoon
- It is the fifth straight win for MWSU and sixth victory in the last seven games.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Agnew gave up just one run on six hits with four strikeouts in his complete game
- Alex Heuring had two RBIs and scored a run
