ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon baseball (18-17, 15-10) beat Northwest Missouri State 10-5 at the Spring Sports Complex.

NOTABLES

• Northwest Missouri took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI double followed by an RBI single
• Nick Gawley's two run RBI double continued a two-out Griffon rally to tie the score at 2-2
• MWSU gained the only lead it would need on a sac bunt from Ryan Smith as Logan Marston followed it with an RBI single to lead 4-2 in the third inning
• The Bearcats threatened in the top of the seventh inning as it scored one run before Nate Hunter shut down the bases loaded jam
• Back-to-back singles from Bailey Zimmer and Smith pushed the Missouri Western 10-3 in the eighth inning
• 17 hits by the Griffons is the second most this season
