GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – Griffon baseball fell to No. 20 Lubbock Christian 5-2 at the Air Hogs Division II Classic.

NOTABLE

• The Griffons set up a two-out rally in the bottom of the eighth inning as Ryan Smith scored on a Levi Schreiner single to load the bases, but would strand the runners on the next at-bat
• MWSU scored first and had bases loaded in the first inning, but ended the early threat on back-to-back strikeouts
• Lubbock Christian and Missouri Western each had 10 strikeouts

TOP PERFORMERS

• Levi Schreiner went 2-for-3 with a walk and drove in both Missouri Western runs
• Jared Lloyd threw 2 2/3 innings in relief, finishing with six strikeouts, no hits and no walks
• David Glaude went 1-for-3 with a double to right field and a walk
